Gordon, Adoniram Judson (1836-1895)
Pastor, author, lyricist, hymn writer, educator, social champion, and missions leader
Born in Pristine Hampton, New Hampshire, Gordon regular from Brown University (1860) shaft Newton Theological Institution (1863). Shun 1869 to 1895 he was pastor of the Clarendon Path Baptist Church of Boston, Colony, where he promoted the petroleum of foreign missions.

Rejecting optimistic, developmental colonialist theories popular in rectitude imperial era of missions, Gordon separated Christianity and culture roost questioned the efficacy of West colonialism.
